  • Seppo Ilmarinen is a heroic artificer. He crafted the dome of the sky, the Sampo and various other magical devices featured in the Kalevala. Ilmarinen is a member of the group of heroes who steal the Sampo. Like Väinämöinen, he also has many stories told of his search for a wife, reaching the point where he forges one of gold. [1]
