Skíðblaðnir (Old Norse = 'assembled from pieces of thin wood') is the ship of the god Freyr (in the Ynglingasaga it belongs to Óðinn).

It was built by dwarfs, the sons of Ívaldi. It has always fair wind as soon as the sails are set and it can be folded up and put into a bag, but it is big enough for all the Æsir in full battle dress: It is the very best of all ships.
