Mythology
In the Norse mythology, Hlaðgunnr (or Hlaðguðr) is the name of a Valkyrie. She only occurs in heroic poetry, and she is also called Svanhvít. Her sister's name is Hervǫr and her father is Hlǫðver. Together with Ǫlrun, Hlaðgunnr and Hervǫr are called swan maidens, and they can fly with the aid of their swan-shifts. [1] [2]
